Sons of Thundr (Faith Baptist Church) is an independent Baptist Church founded in 1984 by Pastor Billy Ball, located in Primrose, Georgia about 50 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia. Ball is a former adult Sunday school teacher and Deacon at Friendship Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia.〔 The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated Sons of Thundr as an anti-gay hate group.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/intelligence-files/ideology/anti-gay/active_hate_groups )〕 ==Social views== The church is opposed to abortion, homosexuality, and alcohol. Its web site features graphic photos of aborted fetuses and accident victims, along with declarations of their beliefs, such as "All Homos are: Sick, brain damaged, perverts!"〔〔〔〔 The church has posted hostile messages about President Obama and Islam, including "Islam will take you to Hell" and "Every time Obama wins, America loses, pray for our perverted president". They engage in street preaching to express their views and were arrested repeatedly in Manchester, Georgia in 2009 when they returned to the sidewalk after being arrested citing the Constitutional right to do so. Ball has been arrested in 2007 as well, and according to the ''Times-News'' was testing the need for a permit to preach in the streets. In Hendersonville, the city council threw out the ordinance he was challenging as violating the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.
